OUR STORY
Nightingale Coffee Company has been a dream of ours, my wife (Katie) and I (Jeremy), since before we even met each other. Katie, with her dream of owning her own coffee shop that was rooted in community, and a safe space to land for all. Me, with my dream of getting back into the industry that has been in my family for generations. My Grandfather owned a coffee plantation in El Salvador, and my Dad spent his teenage summers moving burlap bags filled with green coffee ready to be exported all over the world.
Being Salvadoran, coffee is part of our culture. It’s part of our everyday lives, morning till night, there will be a pot of coffee ready for you to enjoy anywhere you go. It’s weaved into our communities like a muscle memory of our country's body. Something so little, that may seem so insignificant to so many, means so much to so many communities around the world.
OUR MANTRA
It's the little things. It’s the first sip on a cold morning. It’s the smell when you walk into your favorite coffee shop. It’s the moment of peace you have as you make your morning coffee before work. It's the café con pan dulce to wind down before bed. It’s all these little moments that shape who we are and how we live our lives. It’s all these little things that tether the world and give us a common ground. In my world, coffee is the bridge that leads everywhere.
